WELCOME

Set in the South-West of Normandy and only an hour and a quarter from the ferry port of Ouistreham (Caen), we have easy access to a host of great tourist sites including Mont Saint Michel and the Normandy D-Day landing beaches.

Please have a look at our website to see the rooms that we have and a bit more about us.

Mont Saint Michel

Situated on the Northern coast of Brittany, Mont Saint Michel is around an hour and a quarter away from us. The abbey at the top has a huge amount of history and incredibly far reaching views. There is plenty of parking and a shuttle bus will take you to the island.

Caen

Only an hour away from us (the port is further 15 minutes). The castle here was built by William the Conquerer (circa 1060). Caen has a range of shopping options and restuarants, a multimedia memorial museum (WWII and the Cold War), a museum of fine arts, botanical garden and family friendly water park.

Bayeux

Another nearby city is Bayeux, it is also around an hour and a quarter away from us. It houses the famous UNESCO-Listed tapestry depicting the William the Conqueror's  victory against King Harold. There are also many beautiful historic buildings, lots of restaurants and a spectacular catherdral.

Normandy D-Day Landing Beaches

This consists of the 5 beaches that were used during the D-Day landings. There are a variety of museums and memorials across the Northern coast. Most of the beaches are around an hour and a half away.

Domfront

Domfront is nestled between mountains and forests thirty five minutes away. It is a pretty, medieval town where the impressive ruins of the 12th century Domfront castle remain with views across the city and surrending countryside. It hosts a medieval festival and is on the crossroads between two major, natioal cycle routes.

St. Malo

An hour and a half from us is the spectacular walled city of St. Malo. Situated on the coast surronding by a twelfth century granite wall, it has panoramic views from the ramparts, sandy beaches, watersports, restaurants, plenty of shopping and a small tourist train to take you through the centre!

Testimonials

Andrea (Wales, Group of 4 adults)

We visited the area hoping to find our future holiday home. My Husband thought that we deserved to stay somewhere beautiful, and wow! he chose the most prettiest, beautiful place I have ever stayed. I was in absolute awe when we pulled up to this beautiful location and this beautiful B&B. The hosts were there to greet us and were extremely attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Very hospitable.

We stayed in the Presbytere twice in the past 9 months as we had such a lovely time on our first stay. The place has a unique warmth and charm and the hosts are very helpful and accomodating. If you are visiting this region I would highly recommend this B&B, you will not be disappointed.

Christopher (USA, Family of 5)

We stayed here for the D-Day anniversary in 2024. There were places closer to the invasion beaches, but this place was so centrally located on the Normandy peninsula, it made seeing all the sights easier. You can do day trips from here to all the WW2 stuff, coastal cities, and Mont St Michelle. The house itself is beautiful, with all the old charm but updated in the right places. We stayed with our kids and had a nice little suite with two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The little garden was immaculately kept and a nice place to relax at the end of the day. The hosts are top notch, and it's evident that they have poured their passion into making this place great. They get up every morning and fetch fresh pastries from a bakery down the road. They were also a wealth of knowledge onnthe surrounding areas and things to do and see. We had a magical week in Normandy, and having such wonderful place to stay really made it all the better. If you are on the fence, let me assure you it will be hard to beat this property. If a fairy tail French countryside village is what you want, this is it.
